How is it pronounced in everyday speech? Fish and chips.

And is not usually an important word. It's a basic conjunction and it's frequently unstressed.

And通常不是一个重要的单词。它就是一个连词而且经常弱读。

When this happens, the /d/ at the end of the word disappears before both vowels and consonants, and the vowel sound at the beginning of the word changes to schwa: /ə/, so 'and' becomes /ən/ or even /n/ as the sounds are almost identical.Here are some more examples.

弱读的时候，词尾的/d/音在元音和辅音之前都会消失，而and开头的a会变成schwa音：/ə/，所以and就变成/ən/，甚至在一些更典型的发音中变成/n/。这里有一些其他的例子。
