1、The A and the B注解

如果and所连接的两个名词（表示人或物），每个名词前都用了the,表示两个不同的人或物，谓语动词用复数：

The singer and the dancer are to attend our English evening.

那位歌唱家和那位舞蹈家将要出席我们的英语晚会。

The teacher and the poet often give lectures around the city.

这位老师和这位诗人经常在城市周围讲课。

The owner and the editor of the Daily Post were members of the club.

《每日邮报》的老板和编辑曾是这个俱乐部的会员。

2. The A and B注解

如果and所连接的两个名词（表示人或物），且这两个名词共用一个the,此时这两个名词是结合的，指同一个人或物，谓语动词用单数：

The singer and dancer is to attend our English evening.

那位歌唱家兼舞蹈家将要出席我们的英语晚会。

The teacher and poet often gives lectures around the city.

这位老师兼诗人经常在城市周围讲课。

The owner and editor of the Daily Post was a member of the club.

《每日邮报》的老板兼编辑曾是这个俱乐部的会员。

Both a and b
